Blue Vintage - Style Never Goes Out of Style

This post will just be about an outftit that I put together by going through my old stuff. And when I say old, this "skirt" is really, really old. This is actually a summer dress that I bought in a street shop in Paris, back in 2011. I never wore it, and when I saw that mid-length skirts were in this Spring, I thought maybe it was her moment.

I have been into recycling old clothes for a while now. Before that, I thought that as a blogger, I should be able to buy new clothes every other week to deliver to my readers. Nonsense! I think the idea is to share useful ideas for people in search of their unique style. Style shouldn't be about having new clothes. And being a student, I thank the heavens for that.
I believe that you can do wonder with a bit of imagination and a few skills at mixing and matching, and this what I try to do now (I still like to go shopping, don't get me wrong).

It was so easy to just throw a denim shirt on it to give it this classy Vintage look. I added some black heels, a black clutch, and I was out the door.

Looking back, I am not sure about the brown belt. I like the size, but maybe I can switch it up with something a bit harder. That's the thing with experimenting, you make mistakes. But I was happy I created a brand new outfit with my old clothes. I plan on creating more outfit to see where this dress can take its legacy, she deserves it after all, having been waiting around in my closet for three years now.

Flower Power: Florals from Head to Toe

Spring is just around the corner; it's time to enjoy the sun, the warmer weather, and the cute outfits!

I actually flew back to Paris for a few days to visit the family. Even though it was a very short amount of time (4 days), I was able to pick up some pieces at the mall next to my house. I found an amazing blue summer dress with floral prints, and a pair of shoes that resemble those from Converse, but with a cute feminine twist. Now I am not exactly a short dress/skirt person, I like length: maxi dresses/skirts, jeans, etc., you know...them African thighs!! But for once, the weather was extra nice in SF, so I thought I'd make an exception and show a little bit of leg! I fell in love in the flower details and thought they gave a bit of a 90's feel to the dress, without making it too cheesy. What do you guys think?

I am thrilled I spotted those. I always wanted simple white shoes like white Converse shoes. But the floral details on this pair prove that one can be simple yet unique. The only thing I am a bit concerned about is getting them stained. Other then that, I think white shoes are gorgeous for the spring and the summer.

A headwrap kinda day!

A colorful headwrap always goes well with an all white outfit.

I found this headwrap at Goodwill for $3 and I fell in love with it. The colors just stand out!

For the outfit, I wanted to do the whole maxi skirt-croptop thing.
Since I don't own a maxi skirt, I just folded a white bustier dress around my waist.
I found the top at Goodwill for $3.99...yep that cheap! It's warm and cozy, and you can make the outfit look harder with a denim jacket.

Forever21 21 Days of Layers Inspired Look: Long Live the Cardigan!

Gotta love the Californian weather. Coming from France, I was pretty happy to see that it wasn't that cold here in San Francisco. Even in Fall!

This Indian summer weather is just perfect for me, as I often get cold in the upper part of my body, like my shoulders or my neck, while my legs always enjoy a bit of freshness.

If you're weird like that too, the combination Summer dress - Cardigan is perfect for the first days of Fall. Yep, layering is hands down my favorite Fashion trend this season: as it is always nice and sunny despite the cool wind, I can wear one of my favorite summer dresses and give a bit of texture to my outfit with a nice cotton cardigan and a jacket, thick enough to make up for the nakedness of my legs.

I was on my way to school, so I don't wear anything fancy because I am L-A-Z-Y; I like to be comfortable and casual. But if I was going downtown or on a date, I would substitute my flats with nice brown boots and a cute matching purse.

End of summer favorites: bold stripes and a touch of color

Hello everyone!

So I went on a little trip to San Jose, and I just thought I would show you my today's outfit.

This dress is one of my favorites from this summer, and I wanted to rock it one last time before the cold hit. But I wasn't courageous enough and took a little jumper with me, just in case (I get cold veeery easily). I don't usually go for knitwear a lot, but I literally fell in love with this cute cropped burgundy jumper, super comfy and light, perfect for Fall.
